Problem with leather das

I have a leather dash in my 2017 s90 Inscription. The leather is detaching in the area up against the windshield. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, can it be repaired?

I have a Volvo V90 Cross Country Pro T6 in 2019, 65K Km and the same problem with only 4 years, it's no a problem of leather it's a problem of glue.

I worked in OEM and TIER1 in automotive, so close with customer care and quality in manufacturing, after 32 year's experience only can say it's a cockpit TIER1 problem that Volvo must to assume, normally the cockpit assume the Tier1 and OEM Volvo only assume the replacement cost that's all, so simple.

Talking with my dealer in Barcelona only wants to assume 30%, 50% of the replacement cost 4k€, so one car of 103,5K€ and happen this things, it's a really shame!!

Fortunately It's not the same cases that other premium cars, so I decided no more Volvo's after 20 years buying, this is customer service, guarantees problem!!
It's a pity, because I'm a passionate of Volvo especially Cross Country model by my life style and all the work done by the dealers in building loyalty, falls to the ground with Volvo customer service.

This is a quality campaign, not an isolated error, there are a thousand references with customers in internet with the same problems, XC**, S90, V90, if you are from the EU and you are equally affected, we can make force and win the replacement of parts at 100%, whether or not under warranty because it is a bad manufacture of the part in question not a bad use, mi car always go the parking to parking, never see the sun.

So I decide if Volvo not replace my cockpit 100% this summer, I will bring Volvo to court, so simple. The question is.. what are you going to do?

I have same issue in my 2017 S90, separation on dash on passenger side

Yesterday I too discovered that the dash leather was separating at the windshield near the drivers side on my 5 year old 2018 S90. A quick search showed this is a common problem. I just moved to South Jersey and have yet to establish with a dealer here. (Even if I hadn’t moved from Upstate NY I still wouldn’t have a relationship with a service manager as our NY Volvo/Nissan dealership was sold right after I bought the vehicle and the new owner declined to purchase the Volvo portion. Volvo did authorize the dealership to continue non-warranty Volvo service.) Just wondering if anyone is aware of a reasonable/affordable resolution for owners of vehicles in whom this occurs after 4 or 5 years? It’s a shame, because our S90 and XC90 have until now been the most trouble-free vehicles we have ever owned, having driven Audi’s for the prior 16 years.

I have a 2017 V90 CC and have the same issue. When I was having clear tint placed on the front windshield, the installer got some water on the leather and it shrank and separated. After further inspection, the leather was also separating in other areas of the dash. The car has been maintained at the dealer since it was new. The dealer worked with Volvo and was able to get Volvo to authorize a goodwill repair. I think it helped that I recently had warranty work done through by Route 66 extended warranty for $3,800/engine and transmission mounts and replace upper and lower control arms. I did take the car to an upholster shop to see what the options were before receiving the authorization from Volvo. The upholster shop said they could replace the leather dashboard with a vinyl one for $2,000, including labor-which requires removing the dashboard.
